About The Good Roll

We are The Good Roll! The impactful paper company with a mission. While the traditional paper industry still clears forests on a massive scale for something we flush away immediately, we are building the sustainable alternative. How? By creating a fair, circular chain that turns bamboo into pulp and paper. We buy bamboo from Ghanaian farmers, process it locally in our own factory in Ghana, and use it not only to make the funnest and softest toilet paper, but also to supply raw materials to the international paper trade. Even our waste gains value as biochar, a plant-based soil improver.

We are not building a better toilet paper brand; we are building a better alternative for the global paper industry.  A portion of our profit goes to The Good Roll Foundation. They build safe and clean school toilets in Ghana. This is our Circle of Goodness. From bamboo field to farmer, from pulp to toilet roll. Will you help us build this?

The Challenge

As a Junior Account Manager, you are the driving force behind our commercial growth. You don't just sit behind a desk; you combine inside sales with active outside sales! This means you will actually head out to convince potential customers, close deals, and make the world a little cleaner. The rest of the time, you will ensure everything runs smoothly at the office.

Your impactful set of responsibilities:

• You actively go out to get new business customers (catering, offices, retail) excited and score deals face-to-face.
• Follow up on and expand incoming customer requests and leads.
• Brainstorm about and execute creative commercial opportunities and marketing campaigns.
• Independently manage your own client relationships (account management).
• Accurate administrative follow-up and order processing in our system.

Who are we looking for?

• You have completed (or are in the final phase of) a relevant higher education (HBO/WO) degree.
• You are available part-time for 4 days a week (more or fewer hours are certainly negotiable).
• You have the gift of the gab, powers of persuasion, and you get energy from visiting customers.
• You are proactive, entrepreneurial, and you don't shy away from a 'no' (because you know how to turn it into a 'yes').
• You work in a structured manner, are comfortable working independently on the road, and possess a category B driver's license.
• Experience with Shopify or another webshop platform is a plus.

The Good Roll Foundation Project Lead

Als Projectmanager ben jij de operationele ruggengraat van de Foundation, gestationeerd in Ghana. In samenwerking met ons technisch team coördineer je de installatie van droogtoiletten op scholen en ontwikkel je samen met onze technische partner de droogtoiletten door. Samen met ons Wash & Waste-team coördineer je het afvalbeheer en het onderhoud van de toiletten op scholen. Tegelijkertijd ben je de primaire schakel met het hoofdkantoor in Nederland: je zorgt ervoor dat informatie, voortgang en knelpunten tijdig en helder worden gecommuniceerd, en je bent een oplossingsgerichte aanpakker die dingen voor elkaar krijgt.
