Internship: Marketing

We are looking for a Marketing/Sales Intern to help us build the success of The Good Roll. During this internship, you will be deployed broadly and learn a tremendous amount in a short period about marketing and sales within a fast-growing organization 🙌🏽

About The Good Roll

We are The Good Roll! The high-impact paper company with a mission. While the traditional paper industry still mass-fells forests for something we immediately flush down the toilet, we are building the sustainable alternative. How? By creating a fair, circular chain that turns bamboo into pulp and paper. We buy bamboo from Ghanaian farmers, process it locally in our own factory in Ghana, and not only make the most fun and softest toilet paper out of it, but also supply raw materials to the international paper trade. Even our waste gains value as biochar, a plant-based soil improver.

We are not building a better toilet paper brand; we are building a better alternative for the global paper industry. A portion of our profit goes to The Good Roll Foundation. They build safe and clean school toilets in Ghana. This is our Circle of Goodness. From bamboo field to farmer, from pulp to toilet roll. Will you join us in building this?!

The Challenge

For the growing The Good Roll team, we are currently looking for a proactive and enthusiastic intern to strengthen the marketing & communications department for 3-6 months with a fresh perspective.

With this internship, we offer you a unique opportunity to develop within a young, dynamic start-up environment! In this role, you will be primarily responsible for creating content for various online communication tools (social media, website, etc.) and managing our channels.

What else will you be doing?

You will maintain contact with (potential) customers
You will ensure that we can grow even faster throughout Europe
You will support PR activities and events
You will support marketing and sales activities

Who are we looking for?

Bachelor's degree program in commercial economics or related field, at least 2nd year student
Affinity with copywriting and a love for social media
You have a natural power of persuasion and a high likeability factor
Proactive attitude, a self-starter who picks up tasks independently
You believe in our mission and would love to be a part of it

The Good Roll Foundation Project Lead

Als Projectmanager ben jij de operationele ruggengraat van de Foundation, gestationeerd in Ghana. In samenwerking met ons technisch team coördineer je de installatie van droogtoiletten op scholen en ontwikkel je samen met onze technische partner de droogtoiletten door. Samen met ons Wash & Waste-team coördineer je het afvalbeheer en het onderhoud van de toiletten op scholen. Tegelijkertijd ben je de primaire schakel met het hoofdkantoor in Nederland: je zorgt ervoor dat informatie, voortgang en knelpunten tijdig en helder worden gecommuniceerd, en je bent een oplossingsgerichte aanpakker die dingen voor elkaar krijgt.
