In our journey to create meaningful impact in Ghana, our Circle of Goodness leads us to tackle a critical issue - youth unemployment. We want to get Ghanaian youth interested in sustainable agriculture, of which our bamboo farms are a vital part!

The Urgency of Youth Unemployment in Ghana

In Ghana, youth unemployment is a mega problem that is endangering the dreams of many young people. The hard numbers show how serious it is, but in the midst of this misery lies an opportunity for game-changing transformation. With more than half the population under the age of 30, boosting the youth is not only necessary, it is also super important for the future of the country. We must tackle this problem now, because it not only affects individual lives, but it is also the key to a more prosperous Ghana by harnessing the talent and potential of the youth population.

Empowering Youth through Bamboo Agroforestry

One way to address youth unemployment in Ghana is to encourage young people to venture into the bamboo agroforestry business. Bamboo is a flexible and sustainable resource that not only helps the environment but also provides economic opportunities. Our goal includes planting bamboo in different parts of the country to support unemployed youth, small-scale farmers and the environment.

With our training programs we give them the skills and knowledge to get started, from growing bamboo to getting the hang of sustainable agroforestry. Our goal? To make local youth self-reliant and entrepreneurial, all built on the success of other small farmers.
