The most socially sustainable toilet paper in the world, now on Curaçao

Het sociaal duurzaamste wc-papier ter wereld, nu op Curaçao

Together, we are rolling toward a better Curaçao

Under the Curaçao sun, we are building something that lasts.
Not with big words, but with something simple that everyone uses every day: toilet paper.

With The Good Roll, we make toilet paper that not only keeps your guests satisfied but also helps the island.
We believe that every sheet counts — because every roll contributes directly to a cleaner environment and a more social Curaçao.

Why Curaçao is close to our hearts

The founders of The Good Roll have a strong personal connection to the island themselves.
We have lived here, worked here, and have been doing business here for years.
We know the island's beauty, but also its challenges.

Behind the image of sun, sea, and tourism lies a harsh reality:
many families live in poverty and struggle to make ends meet every month.
At the same time, almost all toilet paper on Curaçao is imported — 99% of which is made from trees.
That doesn't just mean that forests are literally being cut down for it,
but also that enormous amounts of CO₂ are released during transport and production.

It is paper that does almost nothing in return for the island or the people who live there.

The Good Roll approach: local difference, global impact

We want to change that.
With The Good Roll, we provide the most sustainable toilet paper in the world — and ensure that the profit flows back locally to Curaçao.

50% of our profit is invested in local social projects.
We work together with, among others, the Curaçao Food Bank and the Daily Meal Program.
For every 10 rolls used, we donate the value of one meal to someone who would otherwise go without.

This is how hotels, restaurants, and companies make a tangible impact every day with something as simple as toilet paper.

The power of bamboo

Our rolls are made from 100% bamboo — the fastest-growing plant on earth.
This makes it a true carbon killer:
bamboo grows up to 30 times faster than trees, produces 35% more oxygen, absorbs 5 times more CO₂, and regrows naturally without replanting.

Even with transport from our factory, our CO₂ footprint is lower than any other paper on the island.
Moreover, bamboo paper dissolves almost completely in water — better for the sewage system and the environment.

The most sustainable toilet roll in the world

We are officially recognized as a B Corp — an international certification for companies that combine profit with impact.
The Good Roll belongs to the global top tier in terms of sustainability and social responsibility.
