We’re saying goodbye 👋

To recycled paper, that is. Not to you.

For years, we have enjoyed making recycled toilet paper. But sometimes you have to say goodbye to something good to make room for something you believe in even more. And yes: we give a real shit about this.

Not because recycled paper is suddenly bad. But because we believe that with bamboo, we can take the next step in our mission: changing the paper chain, from raw material to toilet roll.

Why go fully bamboo?

Because, as far as we’re concerned, toilet paper should be about much more than just a soft landing. Our bamboo roll is made from bamboo fibers and contains no wood pulp. Bamboo is a fast-growing grass species that grows back after harvesting. But what perhaps gives us even more energy is what happens behind the scenes of that roll.

We have our own factory in Ghana. There, bamboo from local farmers is processed into pulp. It is precisely that factory and the people who work there every day that make our mission tangible for us. This way, we create extra income for farmers and employment within our production. A portion of our revenue in Ghana also contributes to better sanitation via The Good Roll Foundation. In other words, more bamboo, more local value, and more room to further roll out our mission. That’s what we’re doing it for.

What about my subscription?

To all our loyal and loving subscribers who are currently on recycled paper: you will receive an email from us soon. No stress, we won’t put you to work.

In that email, we will simply let you know which product swap we are automatically processing for you and what, if anything, will change regarding your product, number of rolls, frequency, or price. You won’t need to set anything up again, start a new subscription, or enter any payment details.

We’ll handle the swap. You just keep rolling.
So: no need to panic in the smallest room in the house.

Ready for the next roll?

This feels like a pretty big step for us.

From partly recycled to fully bamboo.
From multiple paths to one clear course.
And most importantly: continuing to build a paper chain that we believe can be better.

So yes, we are saying goodbye.
But primarily to make room for what comes next.
