We are Officially B Corp Certified
We are super proud to announce that The Good Roll has officially been certified as a B Corporation. Our score you ask? 111! We are really proud of this and it makes us part of an exclusive club of only 4000 companies worldwide that have received this certification.
What does it mean to be a B Corp?
The B Corp certification, where the B stands for "Benefit", brings many benefits. It means that a company wants to have a positive impact on social and environmental levels. This means that decisions are made with the best intentions at the level of employees, customers, suppliers, production, the community and the environment. So it encompasses much more than the EU eco-label that all our products carry or our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. In our case, you know that we donate 50% of our net profit to a good cause via The Good Roll Foundation.
What's the next step?
Just because we are now B Corp certified, doesn’t mean we will stop increasing the positive impact we make. The current score we got was 111 out of 200, just to be clear, a company can call itself a B Corp from a score of 80 points. That means we are well on our way with our sustainable toilet paper, but a higher certification should also be possible.
