Why did we develop a toilet paper spray?

The use of moist toilet paper is extremely bad for the environment. They are often made of plastic. Despite the fact that it is often stated on packaging that moist toilet paper is biodegradable, practice shows something different. Sewers regularly become clogged with moist toilet paper. It is even so bad for the environment that the EU is considering banning moist toilet paper altogether. Moist wipes can never be flushed, they have to be thrown away in the trash.
