Behind the Scenes at The Good Roll
You have read a lot about our company: what our mission is, what we are trying to change in the world, fun facts and trivia about bamboo and sustainability, but never about who we are. Who are the people who keep The Good Roll running and make sure that your rolls are as desired and are packed? Today is a day for something new: Behind the Scenes at The Good Roll. We have several locations where The Good Roll operates: at the office in Weesp, at Pantar in Diemen and of course in Ghana.
Office day!
At our nice office in Weesp we have different departments working. First of all the boys of Sales! These fighters are busy with our B2B customers from Monday to Friday and are often at trade fairs to convince others of our magnificent idea and mission. They are also busy giving presentations to recruit new customers!
The marketing team is of course also not to be missed. Where sales mainly consists of men, the marketing team mainly consists of women, but of course also a man, who keeps all those ladies in check. Team Marketing is busy with creating social media content, new collaborations, designs for the new wrappers and all advertisements. Did I forget something? Yes! The coziness they bring to the office (written by a marketing intern).
Then you have Finance, and let's be honest, you don't understand what happens in the Finance department unless you work in the Finance department yourself. We do know that these great people don't sit still, they make sure that invoices are paid on time and that our money ends up in a safe place, so that we can continue to build toilets in Ghana. Oh yes, let's not forget that they also pay our wages, which means that they remain our friends!
And not to forget, we have Operations. These all-rounders ensure that your package arrives at your doorstep in the right way. And that the products are available! They also work closely with our supplier.
The Foundation team is also in the office. They are always working on innovative plans that can be implemented in Ghana. They are also the point of contact for the people from Ghana and will soon be heading there themselves. They keep a close eye on everything and ensure the best possible collaborations.
The founders of The Good Roll can also be found in the office every day. These two are busy with meetings, working out ideas and of course managing the rest. They are also often present at events where lectures are given, for example. Because let's be honest, who doesn't want to know how you can make such a successful company out of toilet paper?
Pantar
The top people working at Pantar ensure that your rolls are properly wrapped and packed.
A social workplace is a workplace for people with a distance to the labor market or long-term unemployed. This can have various causes, such as physical or mental complaints, homelessness, or other bad luck or problems along the way. It is a place where people can work who cannot find a good place in a regular company.
At The Good Roll, we see our social workplace primarily as a place where people can be part of something bigger again. A place where they can do honest and fun work, such as packing, wrapping, repacking and preparing all our orders. Guidance is provided at the workplace. Whatever the reason is that it does not work at a regular company, we believe that everyone can add value to our company if he/she/they want to work.
