Plastic Free July

Today is the first of the month, the first of July! Which means that 'Plastic Free July' officially starts today. This month is all about sustainability and NOT using plastic. Because let's be honest, we all still use too much plastic in our daily lives (unfortunately...). Plastic Free July is an international campaign that challenges people to reduce their use of disposable plastic in the month of July. It is a great opportunity to reflect on our daily habits and discover how we can live more sustainably.

At The Good Roll we are largely plastic free and we want to inspire you to join this movement. And, very importantly, make it easier for you.

At The Good Roll, we believe that sustainability is not only good for the planet, but also for all of us. That’s why all of our products are designed with the environment in mind. Here are a few reasons why we can help you participate in Plastic Free July.

Our toilet rolls come in cheerful, 100% plastic-free packaging. No plastic junk, just beautiful designs that brighten up your bathroom and protect nature. We only use 100% bamboo and recycled paper. Our packaging is plastic-free, and the wrappers are, just like the ink, biodegradable! This means that no new trees are cut down for our products, protecting our forests. Furthermore, 50% of our net profit goes to building toilets in Ghana. So by choosing The Good Roll, you are not only helping to reduce plastic, but also contributing to better sanitation worldwide.

How do you participate?

First of all, it is of course a super good attitude that you want to participate! Chapeau! The following small adjustments can already make a big difference. Hopefully this inspires you:

• Use reusable bags for fruits and vegetables. Leave the plastic bags that are provided at the supermarket hanging nicely and use a more sustainable option. You can often buy these in the supermarket itself at the fruit and vegetable department!
  

• Recycle, recycle, recycle. Recently, almost every bottle or can has a deposit. It would be a shame to just throw it away. In addition to earning you money, the plastic bottles and cans are also reprocessed and reused. Double profit!
  

• Go for refillable packaging. Make a more conscious choice for cleaning supplies, shampoos, toiletries, etc. There are many varieties available that have refillable options!
  

• And of course, last but not least: switch to sustainable toilet paper from The Good Roll. We are completely plastic-free and can therefore easily help you contribute a little bit to Plastic Free July!
