For example, many hotels have small shampoo and shower gel bottles in their bathrooms for guests, which the same guests are more than happy to take home. But of course, this produces a huge amount of plastic waste!

For example, think about refillable pump systems for sanitary areas to work more sustainably. Shampoo and shower gel can be refilled in these without releasing a lot of environmentally unfriendly bottles into the world. The packaging that the refillable shampoo comes from will most likely also be made of plastic, but these can be made of eco-friendly plastic and as a hotel you have control over the waste processing yourself. Guests can throw away the bottles they bring with them anywhere and everywhere. As a truly sustainable hotel, you naturally recycle your plastic packaging well, which minimizes the damage to the environment. So investigate the possibilities for this with shower gel and shampoo and make the world a little better in this way.

Saving water is also a good way to work more sustainably. Much less water is used for the production of our recycled paper than for non-recycled paper, but that is not the only way! Think of a water-saving shower head or collecting rainwater to then use it for toilets, showers and washrooms.
